Grrrr

Aug. 5th, 2007 | 12:51 pm

Gill just texted me that Fall Out Boy will be having a concert here on September 21. Initial whee! was replaced by nOOOOO when I realized that it will be on a Friday before the last Bar weekend. If I go, I would be the craziest person ever. Well, the craziest person who's going to take the Bar exam this year anyway. So yeah, will probably be missing that. Darn it. Guess will just have to ask brothers to tell me how it goes.

LoVe

Jun. 18th, 2007 | 10:20 am
Listening to: Damien Rice - 9 Crimes

Spent most of the weekend not studying for the Bar. Instead, finally got around to watching my Veronica Mars dvds...well, not really watched. More skimmed and stopped at the Logan-Veronica parts. And read LoVe fanfics. And watched LoVe videos. Should I feel guilty about not feeling guilty?

Damn CW for cancelling the show. Now there will never be closure! :(

Anyway, bringing these over from the FF LoVe Thread for posterity:

Life soundtrack meme

Mar. 3rd, 2007 | 02:00 pm

Snagged from [info]etoiline:

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool...

Opening Credits:
The Pointer Sisters, Jump (For My Love)(Love Actually OST)

Jump for my love
Jump in and feel my touch
Jump you want to taste my kisses
In the night then
Jump, jump for my love

An upbeat song! Good way to start a movie. Good way to start a life :)

Waking Up:

Jack's Mannequin, I'm Ready

I wake up to find its another
Four aspirin morning, and I dive in
I need caffeine in my blood stream,
I need caffeine in the blood stream.
I grip the wheel and all at once I realize
My life has become a boring pop song
And everyone's singing along

Such luck to have drawn a real wake up song, and a Jack's Mannequin one at that.

First Day At School:

Fall Out Boy, Sugar, We're Going Down

We're going down, down, in an earlier round
And sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded God complex, cock it and pull it

Haha. It would have been perfect until you start really listening to the lyrics, then the context would be all wrong.

Falling In Love:

Portuguese Love Theme (Love Actually OST)

This was the theme that was playing when Colin Firth went to the restaurant where Lucia Moniz was working to propose to her in front of practically the whole town. Perfect falling in love theme.

Fight Song:

Madonna, Nothing Fails

You could take all this, take it away
I'd still have it all
'Cause I've climbed the tree of life
And that is why, no longer scared if I fall

That's fighting spirit for you.

Breaking Up:

String Quartet Tribute to Dashboard Confessional, Hands Down

It's cool to have a song without lyrics playing during a break up, its so much sadder that way. But even if the real DC song was playing, it would still have been cool.

My heart is yours to fill or burst or break or bury
Or wear as jewelry, whichever you prefer.

Prom:

Augustana, Boston

I think I'll go to Boston, I think that I'm just tired
I think I need a new town, to leave this all behind
I think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of the sunset
I hear its nice in summer, some snow would be nice

We didn't have a prom, but we had a batch party, and yeah, the spirit was basically the one in this song...we were anxious about leaving school, I was anxious about leaving the province for the capital city, that sort of thing.

Life is Good:

Spice Girls, Mama

Back then I didn't know why
Why you were misunderstood
So now I see through your eyes
All that you did was love

Hey, no haters. I like the song. I love my mom. I think its a good thing for one's life to realize that one's mom is not an enemy but a friend.

Mental Breakdown:

Imogen Heap, Glittering Cloud

I'm not always like this
Its something I become
A terrible weakness
In my nature, in my blood
Save me, oh save me
Save me from myself
Before I hurt
Somebody else again

The song speaks for itself.

Driving:

String Quartet Tribute to My Chemical Romance, Early Sunsets Over Monroeville

Would definitely be one of the songs I'll be playing when I drive, if ever I get to convince my dad that I am not a danger on the streets.

Flashback:
Seo Hyun Jin, Give Me a Little Try (Goong OST)

Its a Korean song, and I have absolutely no idea what it means in its entirety, but the ones I understand seem like it would be a great song for a flashback.

Getting Back Together:
Coldplay, Yellow

Your skin
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
And you know
You know I love you so

A serenade is a good start to getting back together. Let me think about it hehe.

Wedding:
Snow Patrol, Chasing Cars

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own
We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

Awww. Like Nathan and Haley's wedding. Sweet.

Paying the Dues:

Nae ga sun taek han gil ee ya (Goong OST)

I have absolutely no idea what the song means haha.

The Night Before The War:
Evermore, Real Life

Welcome to the real life
Welcome to the real life
I've come to realize its no game
No one is the same
There's so much more to life
Than meets the eye

Fighting spirit, that.

Final Battle:

Enya, Only If

If you really want to
You can seize the day
Only if you want to will you fly away

What the..? What sort of battle is this that an Enya song is playing?

Moment of Triumph:

Fall Out Boy, Thriller

The only thing I haven't done yet is die
And its me and my plus one in the afterlife
Crowds are won and lost and won again
But all our hearts beat
For the diehards

Now this is more like it.

Death Scene:

The Veronicas, 4ever

Come on baby we ain't gonna live 4ever
Let me show you all the things that we could do

This soundtrack is getting to be more and more irreverent haha.

Funeral Song:
U2, One

We're one but we're not the same
We get to carry each other, hurry each other
One
Have you come here for forgiveness?
Have you come to raise the dead?
Have you come here to play Jesus?
To the lepers in your head?

Better. But probably not the song I would have chosen.

End Credits:
Mandy Moore, Moonshadow

And if I ever lose my legs
I won't moan, and I won't beg
Yes if I ever lose my legs
Oh if, I won't have to walk no more

Great song. And the last scene would be me walking to the sunset, leaping and hopping like a moonshadow.

All in all, sounds like my life is pretty good. No suicide attempts or undue melancholy or anything like that. Feel good movie, my favorite.

Readers, Unite!

Jan. 31st, 2007 | 10:50 am

Quick drop by. To all of you in the Philippines, pass by the Hotel Intercontinental on the 3rd and 4th of February for the Read or Die Convention 2007. I'll try to be there to help out RockEd or UNICEF, so if I do, see you there! You can buy your passes at Powerbooks or at the convention venue.

The rest of the letters have come, and so has the one I've been waiting for: SyCip Salazar. I want to work for that firm for the sole reason that Justice Feliciano is there (my personal hero, the only...well, the first Filipino who's made it big in the WTO, particularly in the Appellate Body), they have a great trade law connection and a great IP law practice. Seriously though, I am so lost. I don't know anything about applying for law firms, as I have been stuck working for the government for the past four years. Wish me luck.

And has anyone heard Fall Out Boy's new album Infinity on High? Its had some bad reviews but I personally love The (After) Life of the Party, Hum Hallelujah, Thriller, and Don't You Know Who I Think I Am.

Dean Magi's sarcastic comments a year later

Nov. 21st, 2006 | 10:45 am
Listening to: Come On - Ben Jelen

I finally found where I scribbled all of my Private International Law professor's witty comments in class (aside: my Civil Law Review professor is my soul mate. Really. Pity he's like 30 or so years older than me. Mind meld over mythology, Rome, Ferdinand and Isabella). Posting for posterity and my amusement:

@ Mr Culla, are you communicating by telepathy? Because I don't get it.

@ (Ideally we have all studied marriage law in first year law school. He was being super sarcastic because we could barely answer his questions in marriage law) I get the feeling that somehow you have taken up marriage.

@ Mr. Acosta, speak elegant English. Speak English!

@ Are you students of telepathy? This class must be students of telepathy. (Because we all fall silent everytime he asks a question)

@ What is infancy? Is it the same as idiocy?

@ (The lights were turning off and on while a classmate was trying to recite) Don't think about the lights. Think of them as stars, they twinkle. They apply to the intellectual condition in this case.

@ (Same classmate) The lights have grown brighter, Miss Halcon. God is not indifferent to your destiny.

@ (A case penned by the Philippine Supreme Court applied the US Arbitration Act the wrong way, but we didn't notice because we didn't read the law) Is it possible that the Court did not read the US Arbitration Act? Very possible. In your case, it is not a possibility but a reality.

@ I'm telling you this not for your entertainment. I have nothing to gain by entertaining you.

@ Sir: You appear to be deep in thought Mr. Mercado. Mr. Mercado: Sir, I'm confused. Sir: Oh yes? [pause] Confusion is the source of wisdom. I hope.

Of Superman and Fete

Jul. 3rd, 2006 | 01:26 pm
Listening to: All Good Things Come to an End - Furtado & Martin

From my last update, it was obvious I was pissed off. I was able to work things out though, so I hit two birds with one stone -- I went to the meeting, and we went to watch Superman immediately after. Good thing Mall of Asia is just near the office. Ella, Sharon and I caught the 4.50pm showing.

I loved it. Eventhough there were a lot of noisy kids around. Eventhough the plot wasn't exceptional and Lois Lane was horribly miscast. Eventhough Parker Posey was useless. Maybe I'm just too much of a fan to hate anything with the Superman logo in it. But dammit, that Brandon Routh was just perfect as the Man of Steel. He looked like Christopher Reeve, he sounded a terrible lot like Christopher Reeve, but IMO he looked better. Or maybe I could relate to him better because I know he's nearer my age. Anyway, his Superman feels more human -- especially when his hair is wet and blowing in the wind when he was hurt. Sigh. And that bit about the boy, although I expected that, was still nice to watch. I already said Kate was miscast...but I have to give her credit for trying. James Marsden...poor guy. I was more amused than anything else whenever I saw him in the same scene with Brandon. Showdown Superman v. Cyclops!

After a whole paragraph of utter ramblings, I can only conclude that I am too much of a Superman fan to let anything spoil it. Superman and all he stands for transcends generations, transcends actors and special effects. And if I was Bryan Singer, I'd do the film in a very similar way, and I'd be happy about it too.

Anyway, after the movie (the three of us loved it -- okay, we loved Brandon Routh as Superman. How can you not? The eyes!!!), we had dinner and found out that the commotion outside -- all around the mall actually -- was the Fete. Indeed, the same Fete I told Isy was cancelled for the year. Honestly, Isy, they said it was cancelled! Apparently they only rescheduled it, but it wasn't as broadly marketed as the past ones. I didn't even hear anything about it. So yeah, the Music Hall housed the Alternative/Rock bands, I think the North areas had the Reggae/World and Jazz. We just passed by and didn't stay long. It was supposed to be a 3-day event (Friday to Sunday) but I only got to watch that Friday. Oh well.

Random: Have any of you heard Nelly Furtado's recent collab with Chris Martin, All Good Things Come to an End? I love it!

Grrrr.

Jun. 30th, 2006 | 01:11 pm
Listening to: Don't Wait - Dashboard Confessional

I am so irritated with my boss. My office friends and I planned to watch Superman Returns today (IMAX!), we're leaving early from work. We've planned this for weeks. My boss has a 2pm meeting with some important people. Guess what? Because his wife is in town (she's a stewardess), he ditched the meeting and wants me to go in his stead. He does this all the time, he never gives us due notice. If he wasn't such a nice guy/boss (except for this one quirk...oh, another thing, he's so irritating sometimes especially when he has nothing to do, he constantly needs someone to talk to), I would've kicked him a long time ago. Because we already made plans, most of us are wearing jeans (but with decent blouses and blazers, of course). I can't go to the meeting wearing jeans. ETA: Good thing the organizers of the meeting said its okay to be wearing jeans. Sigh. Panira sa plano talaga.

Jun. 27th, 2006 | 08:19 am
Listening to: Stolen - Dashboard Confessional

Omigod. I cannot believe this. WOMAD (World of Music Arts and Dance) will be on the 25-27 August at Fort Canning. But I'm supposed to leave Singapore on the 23rd waaahhhh. Dammit classes and all. But if I do win the contest, to hell with classes. They cancelled Fete this year anyway, so going to WOMAD would be sooo cool.

Watched The Lake House over the weekend. Loved it. I don't care if there are inconsistencies with the time travel crap and all. I loved it.

Gah. Looking for hotels in Singapore is one tiring task. On the one side, we have the small but very unique boutique hotel in Chinatown. On the other side, we have the prestigious hotel in Central. The conference is in Central.

Guess art will have to concede for today. Will be a crass consumer and pick prestigious hotel. It has art and history thrown in anyway, but not as expensive as Raffles.

Update

May. 6th, 2006 | 02:43 pm
Listening to: Luka - Suzanne Vega

@ My pre-trial last Wednesday went smoother than expected. I was panicking the day before that because I just learned that I was supposed to be the lead counsel for the prosecution, instead of the public prosecutor. I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do there, and even my officemates thought it was the first time they've ever seen me that panicked. Well, its different if you're representing another person...it involves real issues with real people, and it could spell the difference between life and death. Thank God the intern who was assigned the case last semester was very helpful (he deserved to get the Most Outstanding Law Intern award). My SL was there again (yay. Now rest of the team thinks she's playing favorites because she's never been to their hearings, and she's been to both of mine) -- well, she was required by the court to be there. We spent more time waiting for our case to be called than when it was actually called for pre-trial. I was okay, no embarassing moments. Client was very nice. PAO lawyer (adverse counsel) very cute. Public prosecutor (fiscal) uber bitch. The court stank because there were a lot of detainees who had their arraignment that day. Arte ng SL ko, mahilo-hilo daw siya sa amoy. I got used to it, okay lang naman. And I've smelled worse things anyway.

@ Going to Singapore again in August for this two-day global IPR conference. As I'm not yet done with law school, I can't go out of the country for long periods of time especially when it conflicts with school sked. At least I'll have a longer time in the city this time than the last time I was there.

@ My family is coming over for my birthday, which is both a good and a hassling thing. Being with family is always good, but it could be a problem especially if one has already made plans on how to spend the day or the weekend. Must juggle, must juggle.

That's it so far. Snagged from [info]rainy_summer:

Labor Day Weekend

May. 1st, 2006 | 11:37 pm
Listening to: Unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEX! Sorry wasn't able to call you this time this year, lost my phone recently and your mobile number along with it :( Have a good one *hug*

I spent PhP2500 yesterday haha because of the Megamall Annual Labor Day sale, and I brought Ella along for the ride. Poor Ella. I only texted her to come because she wanted to buy a toy for her nephew (we always buy the toys at Toy Kingdom Megamall even if there's one in Glorietta) and a copy of Lonely Planet UK. Oh BTW newsflash, I'm not going to London this year, Ella's going in my stead because of OLA. Sucks, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Priorities and all. Reckon I'll be seeing the city soon enough after I graduate, or maybe next year. Anyway, we ended up buying more stuff than planned (Bayo all items 50% off!). My most impulsive buy was the plaid slacks from Cinderella. Only 10% off (so still on the PhP1000 mark) but oh so gorgeous. So yeah, I got that, and a cool top from Bayo, and new tan slingbacks, a paperback copy of Anansi Boys (love Powercard Plus, got me 10% additional discount than the already existing 20% for regular shoppers), some Bench toiletries stuff, a new bag...Ella spent more: last count was around PhP11000, but it was because of the new luggage. So yeah, that was exhausting. We started around 2pm (I started earlier, looking for a gift for Mama for Mother's Day), ended around 830pm (1 hour mass in the middle of it), went to Shang for dinner (Mongkok, yum), and that was it.

Today I stayed at home (mainly because it was potentially dangerous to be out with strikes all around) and worked on OLA stuff, which is a good thing. And rewatched A Few Good Men...another good thing. God's way of prepping me for the pre-trial on Wednesday, I guess. It actually got me to thinking about what Atty. Bazar said about me and litigation. Maybe I should try it. I dunno. Anyway, haha, and a grade school favorite of mine, 3 Ninjas, was also shown.

*Deep breath*

I love this month.

"No further questions, your Honor."

Apr. 29th, 2006 | 09:52 am
Listening to: La Camisa Negra - Juanes

I had my first direct examination and first hearing last Wednesday. It was for a criminal case, and I (well, we, UP-OLA) represented one of the accused. The direct was for our last witness. I got to court really early, which was good, so I was able to prep the witness again. The court calendar listed our case as the last to be called for that morning. I was really nervous 'coz my supervising lawyer was running late, but the main movers of the case were already there (the fiscal, the co-accused, his counsel, my client, our witness, the judge of course) -- and the courtroom was full. I only had a vague clue of what to say, of what to do -- good thing the client was already familiar with court procedures. And when my supervising lawyer finally arrived, it turned out she didn't even read the direct exam questions I sent her (I don't know if it was another one of her psywar shit, or if she really didn't, but I wouldn't know for sure) -- that got me even more nervous. What if I asked leading questions?!? That's an open invitation for the fiscal to object! And where would my question flow be then?

I asked my SL some other questions, how to say this, what to do, blah blah -- and the only thing she said was: "Pshaw. You can do it without my help."

And I did. I was able to pull it off by some miracle. No leading questions, no objections from fiscal (though he conducted a short cross-exam), SL thought I did a great job. Thank God I didn't embarass the client, my SL and UP in general.

So yeah, that was it. I'm relatively more relaxed now. I have a pretrial on Wednesday, and some initiatory pleadings to file, but its all good. Its a great experience.

Long weekend
No out-of-town plans for the long Labor Day weekend, but will be spending time with office friends -- Ritchelle just got back from Taiwan (hehe, I love my pasalubongs!) and the four of us (Ella, Ritchelle, Sharon and I) might go to another one of our Old Manila outings later or tomorrow. Can't wait!

Christmas Parties

Dec. 16th, 2005 | 01:44 pm
Listening to: Wishing - Hale

Yesterday, went to two Christmas parties, one for the office, and one for my law school class. The office party was a lunch thing, we just had it here (office). Food was great: Sir Minggoy brought itlog na pula, tomatoes, okra, baguio beans, bagoong, adobo, and chicken curry, Kuya Jon brought ice cream and chocolate mousse cakes, while the office ordered chicken lollipops and palabok. We just cooked the rice here (thank God for office rice cooker...you can see that food is a serious matter here in my office). We exchanged gifts, of course. The highlight of the day was when Ryan (who got Ed in the gift raffle) realized Ed (who got Ryan in the gift raffle) got him and vice versa. And everyone was laughing at the fact that almost everyone asked my help one way or another: to ask whoever they got what gift they wanted, to ask me to buy the gift (because of my numerous discount cards)...they called me the medium. Power trip haha! Especially because I knew about the Ryan-Ed predicament and I had to keep it a secret this whole time.

Anyway, last night was the class party. We had it in Alvin's office building (the Marine Simulation school). Had a blast...while waiting for the others to arrive, we tested Alvin's Simulation machine. It really felt like I was sailing the ship. The room was designed in such a way that it looked and felt like the bow of a ship, or the bridge, or whatever you called it. You even had two computers in the room for the other two people who will be helping in navigating the ship. They had programs for various weather conditions, and when he let me try the stormy program, it really felt like the ship was rocking! It was amazing. You can even change the ship model, if you want to sail a battleship or a frigate or whatever.

We relocated to the karaoke room, where the actual party was. Prof. Lumba was there, much to the excitement of Chris, Len and Migs. Basically we ate, had games, sang and danced. Awards were also given. Guess which awards I got? Pinakamatakaw (Female) and Siga ng 4E (Female) haha. We all knew I deserved the first one, and I proved I deserved the last one when I threatened to destroy the karaoke machine (well, the Magic Sing mike) if I didn't get a high mark for singing Semi-Charmed Life. I got a 91 haha. And the first one I got, I was so weirded out. I don't know why I got it, but they insisted they voted for me. Whatever. Anyway, the award was...get this...Best Dressed Female. Apparently they loved my office clothes with the boots and the skirt and the shawls and scarves and trenchcoat blah blah.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GILL and CHEBAY! Have a good one, you guys.

First ever recitation for PRIL with Dean Magallona last night. Curse that wise old man, I was the first one who was called. Never thought he'd remember me from Jessup but I guess he did. Got asked all the real difficult questions, about the concepts behind Conflict of Laws, principles as applied to the Aznar case, and my personal criticism v. Sen. Dr. Salonga (turned out Dean Magi and I shared the same opinion). Unfair, because the rest of the people who were called all got asked only questions purely regarding the Aznar case. Oh well, I think I was able to wing it, and Dean Magi seemed to have been pleased.

6 days to go

Dec. 12th, 2005 | 09:33 am
Listening to: Bend to Squares - Death Cab for Cutie

I can't wait to go home. Finished buying presents for family a week ago, went out with Farrah and Len last Saturday to watch Just Like Heaven (which was a very nice movie, loved Mark Ruffalo, and Reese too, more on that later), and to exchange gifts which we have been doing for the past three years. Ate lunch with Miguel who went all maudlin on us because he's leaving for the US on Wednesday (for Christmas with his family)...we kept teasing him that he's going home and he went ballistic, "I'm NOT going home!" Which puzzles me, because I always think of where my family is as home. He insists the Philippines is home because he was born here. O-kay. Anyway, he hated the fact that he'd be missing the class Christmas party, asked us what pasalubongs we wanted (I also asked them what they wanted from Butuan, Far asked what we wanted from Cebu, Len asked what we wanted from Pangasinan HAHA), blah blah.

Just Like Heaven...unassuming movie, but I liked it. It was funny and romantic and touching all at the same time. Len was really really affected, naka-relate haha. It would be a sad life to live though, just living for work, eventhough you know that your work is very important. Thank God I'm not like that right now.

So I got Putumayo's Italian Cafe from Far and Len, Far got a red blouse to wear for her office Christmas Party from Len and I, and Len got The Best of Gregorian CD from me because she already got her present from Far. This tradition of ours is actually very funny, but very practical. We all shop together for our gifts to each other, P300 budget for each. What we usually do is pool the resources, so that each of us would get a P600-worth gift. And then the day we buy the gifts is also the day we get them. Its actually just like swapping P600, but its the thought that counts :D And we can ensure that we really do get the stuff we want. We're not like that for birthdays though, there's still some element of surprise, but still the resource-pooling is there. What do you expect from working law students?

Mom and dad picked the perfect time to go all hip on me. Must find that Destiny's Child Christmas CD, or else.

Will be bringing school stuff home again, as midterms will be coming up when I get back. Not to mention have to prepare speech for Pol Eco career orientation thing Sir Avila invited me to on Jan 20. I can't believe this. Last year it was a speech for my high school, and now its for my college? Am I really that old?

Year in Review

Dec. 8th, 2005 | 02:54 pm

Its the Feast of the Immaculate Conception today. Probably one of the few days I actually like being named May Ann (after the Virgin and her mom).

Take the first sentence or two from the first post of each month of 2005. That's your year in review.

I sort of cheated because the first sentences of my stories usually sound stupid and do not provide ample basis for reviewing the year.

JANUARY
No entry

FEBRUARY
Okay. Now we not only have the Rizal Day bombing, but the Valentine's Day bombings as well.

MARCH
I can't watch the Jars of Clay concert today. Argh. Argh. Argh.

APRIL
The Pope is dead.

MAY
First day of May. Everything feels different already.

JUNE
Can't wait for Coldplay's new album :)

JULY
A lot has happened in a span of...24 hours? Less than. Attraction is very disturbing. Feels sort of incestuous, as is Farrah's cousin, which is like her brother. And she's like my sister.

AUGUST
I remembered there was a Bamboo performance at the Winston concert series thing at Libis that night, so I asked Farrah if she wanted to go, and she said yes.

SEPTEMBER
Finally. Done with midterms.

OCTOBER
Haha. Ayun na nga, nagpaka-jologs ako nung weekend.

NOVEMBER
Read Laura Esquivel's The Law of Love last Sunday.

DECEMBER
Been watching SEA Games for the past few days. Hurray for the Philippines, still leading in gold medal tally!

Blah blah blah

Dec. 5th, 2005 | 09:20 am
Listening to: Sugar, We're Going Down - Fall Out Boy

First off, belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY MJ! *hug* Sorry wasn't able to greet you earlier hun, haven't been online since Friday. And happy birthday to my little brother Nico.

@ Watched Chicken Little last Saturday with Farrah and Len. Very entertaining. Zach's voice! Hehehe.

@ My mom is a certified Haler now, especially because she just learned Champ is the nephew of Uncle Boy, one of their close friends and the godfather of my brother Mickee. So now Mickee has ringside tickets to Hale's concert in Butuan next week. Also free shirts and whatnot. Apparently he's getting the stuff from the manager. O di ba, feeling close talaga. Now if only Uncle Boy is also related to Ira...

@ Speaking of Bamboo, yay for the stuff they won at the NU Rock Awards 2005!

@ And funny thing, my parents actually watched MYX Mo 2005 on TV, the same time I was watching it here. My mom is really hip and cool...and jologs hehe :D

@ Professor in Admin now has this mission to get me to make his portrait ever since he heard I knew how to sketch. I made a rough sketch last week during class (he wanted one), apparently he was pleased and now wants a serious one done.

@ Mom is comparing me to Zora Andam. Very uncool, as Zora is former Bb. Pilipinas-Universe, but apparently mom thinks we have much in common. I only see the fact that she's a co-Winlawer. And she is definitely kinder than me. Not to mention probably more intelligent haha. My mom is in one of her "Aren't you in love, anak?" stages, so she's quoting Zora saying, "In God's time." Haha.

@ Been watching SEA Games for the past few days. Hurray for the Philippines, still leading in gold medal tally! The Wushu Duilian competition was amazing. The Filipinos really looked like they could be in a martial arts movie. And that Filipino who won the gold for long-distance swimming, wow. What endurance. I almost thought he was gonna lose in the middle he started trailing, but he regained the lead in the end.
